※GIC exercises proper control of ownership and take action to deal with incorrect references to certification status or misleading use of certification documents, marks or audit reports.

All Certified Clients of GIC shall correctly use the certification mark in accordance with the rules below.

•  Use certification marks only when the certification status is valid.
•  Use certification marks within the certified scope.
•  Not allow reference to its management system certification to be used in such a way as to imply that GIC certifies a product (including service) or process.
•  Not be used on a product nor product packaging nor in any other way that may be interpreted as denoting product conformity.
•  Not permit its marks to be applied to laboratory test, calibration or inspection reports or certificates.
•  Not use any certification marks other than provided by GIC.
•  Not use or permit the use of a certification document or any part thereof in a misleading manner.
•  Discontinue its use of all advertising matter that contains a reference to certification upon suspension or withdrawal of its certification.
•  Amends all advertising matters when the certification condition has been reduced.
•  Not use its certification mark in such a manner that would bring the GIC and/or certification system into disrepute and lose public trust.
•  GIC will take proper action upon discovery of wrong use of certification mark and accreditation mark such as requesting correction, suspension or withdrawal of certification and may take legal steps when the controversy could not be solved between two parties.
•  Conforms to the requirements of GIC when making reference to its certification status in communication media such as the internet, brochures or advertising, or other documents.
•  not imply that the certification applies to activities and sites that are outside the scope of certification.

*** GIC will take proper action upon discovery of wrong use of certification mark and accreditation mark such as requesting correction, suspension or withdrawal of certification and may take legal steps when the controversy could not be solved between two parties.
